You may be familiar with the fact that there are several types of loot. In a dungeon, you'll find many different materials. These can be used as crafting materials when you return to Speranza. They are a critical component of ARC Raiders’ crafting system.

Basic Materials, or common rare materials, are used in crafting almost all the items you need. This includes quick-use products like bandages, ammo weapons, Augments mods and weapon upgrades. The Basic Materials include:

Chemicals used in making explosives, medical supplies, and utility products.

Metal Parts can be used to create many items including ammunition, weapons and weapon mods.

Fabric – used to create medical supplies and protective shields.

Rubber Parts can be used to create many items (some weapon mods, quick use items, etc.).

Plastic Parts: Used to make many items (some weapons and weapon mods as well as quick-use objects).

If you're looking to memorize materials that are important and their uses, make sure to keep them handy and have several stacks in your arsenal.

Topside Materials usually have Uncommon rarity (green) and higher. While an ARC Powercell (which is used to create Shield Rechargers) is a Common-rare item, there are exceptions. Topside Materials contains a range of different items. These include ARC robots pieces, Canisters for Gun Parts, Processors (and much more). Each of these items can be used to create something else. For ARC Raiders to be fully explained, it is necessary to cover a few additional crafting mechanics.

 Blueprints

Certain items, usually something cool, cannot be created unless a blueprint is found. These ARC Raiders' crafting blueprints are available in raids and as quest prizes. When you find a crafting blueprint during a raid you will have to extract it, then you can learn how to craft the item. Once used the blueprint vanishes and you can craft the item at any time. So, the blueprint isn’t one of the materials required to craft a particular item. It simply unlocks this ability.

 Repairs & Upgrades

One part of crafting is to spend your materials on upgrading and repairing your equipment.

Weapons shields augments each have a Durability stat. The more durable an item is, the longer it will last. When it comes to weapons, less durability means more time is required for reloading. You will get less shielding capacity when you use shields. When durability reaches 0, an item becomes unusable. Keep track of durability so you can repair items when they are needed. You'll require different materials for each condition. You'll receive a list of materials to repair an item. These are typically the same that you used when crafting the item.

Upgrading works a little differently. Instead of increasing a item's rarity, you can give it additional properties. As an instance, we will look at the Assault Rifle Arpeggio to see what upgrades you'll get.

Each upgrade tier improves the performance of the weapon and its durability in long-term raids. To upgrade your weapons, you'll need a bench from a gunsmith.

Scrappy the Rooster – a reliable source of materials

Scrappy's been in the Workshop well before you. This old, rooster-like creature is more than just decoration. He also returns from his scavenger missions with useful materials for crafting. His finds could include metal parts and fabric. They can also be chemicals, plastics, rubbers, or even seeds.

Scrappy gains efficiency as he increases his level. His deliveries will be passive. He will gather items over time, while you are exploring or raiding. You can get them back from his chest in the Workshop once you've returned.

The items that are needed to level up Scrappy include Dog Collars, Apricots, and Lemons. Each new stage can unlock new material type and improve his yield. He becomes one the most reliable resources to use in ARC Raiders.

ARC Raiders: Crafting Tips & Tricks

This game's crafting may seem very conventional but there are a few things you don't know. Here are a few ARC Raiders tips for crafting that may save your own life.

In-raid crafting is possible. For instance, if your raid runs out of consumables and you have all the ingredients to make them but are low on supplies, you might consider unlocking this skill under the Survival branch. It allows you the ability to craft these basic consumables. The list of items which you can craft during a raid can be expanded if you unlock another skill, "Traveling Tinkerer".

Basic Materials, which are dropped by ARC robots that have been defeated, can be crafted into consumables. Fabric can also be used to restore the health of your shield if you're not able to make it mid-raid. ARC Powercells from defeated ARC robotics can also be used to recharge shields. The food items that are normally categorized as Trinkets are also good to restore health. BLOG20

Unconventional items may be used. In addition to the tip from before, some items offer functionality that would seem like mere "loot". Rubber Ducks, for example, are a common item. It can also be thrown at other players to create a distraction or attract ARC.

Tracking resources is possible for crafting and upgrading. Once you have expanded your Workshop to include all of the recipes, you can select "Track Resources". This helps you to identify the materials needed during raids. You will see icons on loot matching your tracked goals. It is the easiest way for you to narrow down your looting missions and bring back only what you need.

Listen out for barrel stashes. You can find rare crafting material and even high-tier component in these barrel stashes. The Field Depots are also similar but require you to have a nearby chest to unlock. These are two places that are easy to ignore, but contain the materials for upgrading your weapons.

The list would be too long if we included other obvious tips like putting all the materials you need in your safe. You'll discover the rest for yourself. You'll get a lot out of the five tips provided above.

 Conclusion

Crafting is an important way to progress in games using extraction mechanics. You collect materials to craft better gear and face bigger challenges. It can be worth it to do a looting run where all you have to do is open any containers of loot that you come across, and then extract the loot without firing a gun. If you want to buy a stack that contains 5 Bandages, it will cost 1000 Coins. But, you can easily make your own using 10x Fabric. All other game items are the same. The last thing you should do is buy anything.
